Adam Fleischer
Position title: Undergraduate Student

Adam is an undergraduate senior at Lawrence University pursuing a bachelor’s degrees in neuroscience and biochemistry. He is interested in neuropharmacology, particularly the neurological mechanisms underlying how psychotropic substances can ameliorate or exacerbate mental illness. Previously, Adam worked in Dr. Elizabeth Becker’s lab at Lawrence University, researching early-life anesthesia-induced neuroinflammation and depression in mouse models. He currently works as a research intern in Dr. Haley Dresang’s lab, investigating genetic and MRI biomarkers of language plasticity in the context of post-stroke aphasia recovery. After completing his undergraduate degrees, Adam aims to pursue a PhD in neuroscience or pharmacology to continue exploring the intersection of drugs, neurobiology, and mental health.
